Hi! My name is Angela Hinojosa and I am from Ohio. Currently, I am studying at The Ohio State University working on my bachelors degree in Visual Communication Design. Other than design, I also am very passionate about music, writing, and craft-making. For as long as I can remember, these passions have been a part of my life to some capacity. Now that I'm a little older, I can see how my passions have flourished and led me to where I am now in life. This has given me a sense of feeling and certainty that what I am doing and where I'm at in life is where I'm meant to be.
In my three years studying Visual Communication Design, I have learned, witnessed, and experienced first-hand how much thought and intentionality is behind creating a good design. Design is not just about aesthetics, but is also about designing a thoughtful experience and clearly communicating a message that provokes a particular feeling. As a consumer, I gravitate more towards products or items that are aesthetic to the eye, but without functionality none of it has value. Both of these qualities in design are very important to me and I plan on incorporating both in my designs without having to sacrifice one for the other.
